Visual storytelling is my cup of tea.
I’m Lumi Hannele Kauppinen, an independent documentary photographer, videographer, researcher and NGO professional who is deeply committed to driving positive change. My focus lies in in-depth storytelling related to animal rights, the environment, and social justice.
Equipped with a M.A in visual journalism from Tampere University and a B.A in film art from Turku University of Applied Sciences, a good dose of experience in visual communication and a keen interest in participatory multimedia productions. Currently, I’m pursuing my Ph.D. in journalism in Tampere University.
Based in Helsinki, Finland but I’m open to travel - I'm available for photo and video assignments, and I’m always interested in collaborative projects.
